Most mushroom chocolate uses whatever material is available. This series uses one named strain per bar, which means the character is specific rather than averaged out. Enigma is the rare, dense, brain-like mutation known for intensity and depth.

Six grams is a lot

The whole bar is well above a strong dose for almost anyone. It is designed to be portioned. Break off a square, work out what that square weighs as a fraction of six grams, and start there. Eating the bar as a serving is not the intended use.

Why an edible instead of raw material

Two practical reasons. The taste of dried mushroom is genuinely unpleasant for most people and is the main thing that puts them off, and many find an extracted format sits more comfortably than chewing through plant material. The dosing is also consistent piece to piece, so you are not weighing anything out.

Onset and timing

Allow a full 45 to 90 minutes before you consider taking more. Topping up because the first dose seems slow is the single most common way people end up further out than they intended. The experience typically runs four to six hours from onset, with a long gentle tail after that.

Set and setting

Where you are and what frame of mind you are in shape the experience more than the exact figure on the scales does. Somewhere familiar and comfortable, a clear day with nothing you need to be sharp for, and ideally someone sober around the first few times. Plan the landing as well as the take off.

Who should avoid this

Anyone with a personal or family history of psychosis or bipolar disorder, anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, and anyone taking SSRIs, MAOIs, lithium or tramadol should not take psilocybin without speaking to a doctor first. Storage

Keep sealed, cool, dry and out of direct light. Psilocybin degrades with heat, light and moisture. Store where children and pets cannot reach, which matters especially for anything that looks like confectionery.
