Weigh, do not estimate

Mushroom caps and stems vary enormously in density, so eyeballing a dose is genuinely unreliable. A cheap set of scales that reads to 0.01g removes the biggest source of error in the whole process, and costs less than a single order.

Finding your dose

The common reference points for dried material are roughly 1g for a light experience, 1.5 to 2.5g for a moderate one, and 3.5g or above for a strong one.
