Raw material gives you control that no prepared format can. You set the dose yourself rather than accepting whatever a manufacturer decided a piece should contain, and you can judge the quality by eye before you take anything.
The trade-off is that it needs weighing accurately, so a set of scales that reads to 0.01g is worth having. If you'd rather not weigh, capsules and edibles come pre-portioned.
Strains
Our range includes named varieties across a spread of strengths, from widely grown classics through to less common cultivars. Potency varies between strains and between flushes of the same strain, so treat an unfamiliar variety with the same caution you'd give a higher dose, and start lower than your usual amount.
Storage and how to check quality
Storage matters more here than with any other format. Properly dried mushrooms should snap cleanly rather than bend, and any flex indicates residual moisture, which increases the risk of mould. That snap test is also the quickest way to check what you've received.
Keep them airtight with a desiccant packet in a dark cupboard and they'll hold potency for many months.
